This page is published for transparency about how this website works and how StanleyKent handles the information it receives. It is not legal advice, and StanleyKent's legal counsel should review it before it is relied on.

Who we are

StanleyKent is a manufacturing and industrial executive search and recruitment firm operating in the United States, with offices in Atlanta, Georgia; Marlborough, Massachusetts; Parsippany, New Jersey; and Cheyenne, Wyoming. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

It applies to this website and to the information people send us through it. Where we collect information in other ways during a search, for example in a phone call or an interview, we handle it in the way described under Candidates and clients.

Information we collect

Information you give us through our forms

This website has two forms: the Contact form and the Request Talent form. When you use them we ask for:

• your name, company and work email address;
• your phone number, if you choose to give it;
• on the Request Talent form, the role you are hiring for, its location and your hiring timeline;
• on the Contact form, the topic of your inquiry;
• your message.

Each submission is sent as an email to StanleyKent's mailbox and read by our team. The website itself does not keep a copy of your submission after it has been sent.

Information you send us directly

If you email us, call us or send a résumé, we receive whatever you choose to include, such as your work history, qualifications, salary expectations and the kind of role you are looking for.

Information collected automatically

This website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request, and uses it to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not run analytics or advertising software on this site and we do not build profiles of visitors. See our Cookie Policy for details.

How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

• respond to your inquiry and arrange a conversation with the right recruiter;
• scope, run and manage recruitment and executive search assignments;
• assess whether a candidate may be suitable for a role and keep in touch about relevant opportunities;
• manage our relationship with client organizations, including proposals, agreements and invoicing;
• operate, secure and improve this website;
• comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

How we share your information

We share personal information only where it is needed to do the things listed above:

• Service providers. Companies that host this website and deliver our email, currently Cloudflare and Microsoft, process information on our behalf and only for that purpose.
• Prospective employers and candidates. See Candidates and clients below for how information moves between the two sides of a search.
• Professional advisers. Our accountants, lawyers and insurers, where necessary.
• Legal and safety reasons. Where the law requires it, to respond to a lawful request from a public authority, or to protect the rights, property or safety of StanleyKent, our clients, our candidates or others.
• Business transfers. If StanleyKent is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, the information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would tell you if that changed how your information is handled.

Candidates and clients

StanleyKent is a recruiter. The two groups of people whose information we handle most are candidates and the people who hire them.

If you are a candidate

We collect and keep information about your experience, qualifications and preferences so that we can discuss relevant roles with you. We present you to a prospective employer only after you have agreed to be considered for that specific role. Before that point, if we describe your background to a client at all, we do so without identifying you.

We may also contact people who have not applied to us when their public professional profile suggests they could suit a role we are working on. If you would rather not hear from us, tell us and we will stop.

We may ask you for references and, where a client requires it and the law allows, your consent to background or qualification checks. We will tell you what is being checked and why.

If you are a client or a hiring manager

We hold contact details for the people we work with at client organizations, together with information about the roles they are hiring for. When a search is confidential, we do not name the client to candidates until the client agrees it is the right stage to do so.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above. In practice that means:

• inquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for a reasonable period in case you contact us again, then deleted;
• candidate information is kept while we are in contact about roles, and for a period afterward so that we can consider you for future opportunities, unless you ask us to delete it;
• records relating to a completed search or a client engagement are kept for as long as our contractual, accounting and legal obligations require.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. The only cookies that may be set are essential security cookies from Cloudflare, which protect the site from automated abuse. Our Cookie Policy explains this in full and describes how to control cookies in your browser.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under United States state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act. Subject to the exceptions in those laws, you may ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
• give you a copy of that information;
• correct information that is inaccurate;
• delete your personal information;
• opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still tell us your preference.

We will need enough information to confirm that you are the person the request is about, or that you are authorized to act for them. We will respond within the time the applicable law requires, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

If you are a candidate, note that some information, for example notes about a search that has already concluded, may need to be kept for legal or contractual reasons even after a deletion request. We will tell you if that applies.

Security

This website is served over an encrypted connection. Form submissions travel to our mailbox over encrypted channels, and access to that mailbox is limited to StanleyKent staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

This policy does not apply to other websites that we link to. Their own privacy policies apply.

Children

This website and our services are intended for working professionals and employers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be announced on this page.
